Live Music that I Enjoyed

I don't make it out to as much live music as I use to but i still enjoy a good show. I also try to me more selective as to not catch too many duds. Live music is always a crap shoot due to the amount of variables that can make it great or real bad. i have compiled a list of some good things that I've seen over the last year and a half.

1. The Grand Old opry at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville with Emmy Lou Harris, Gillian welch, Vince Gill, Buddy Miller. This show was great value. The venue is excellent and the show is top shelf.

2. The Who at the Key Arena - The new music was kind of lame but the hits, the band , the sound were great. Atrully excellent experience. Pete Townsend is an inspiration , he still brings it strong.

3. Carla Bouzolich/ Evangelista with Silver mount Zion at Neumo. Weird and intense i had to lay down after this show. Felt like my meds were off.

4. Blixia Bargeld solo vocal performance Triple Door Seattle. Blixia and a couple digital delays. It was amazing . Truly entertaining. Hard to describe. Just go if he comes to town.

5. Massive Attack Paramount Seattle - The sound was a little rough but it was the first show of the tour. I think their music is 100 times better live than on record and I really like their records.

6. Bauhaus Paramount Seattle - Awesome! Peter Murphy is amazing. The songs sound good and loud.

7. Depeche Mode Key Arena Seattle - Their music comes alive in the live setting. The show and lights are great. Life affirming.

There's a short list of some of my favorites.
